I had to take the LCD Monitor out of the casing so it could be mounted on the reverse side of
the laptop. I have never dis-assembled a laptop, but took great care in doing so.C
In case you are wondering the monitor is connected to the laptop in 2 places (on the IBM Thinkpad 770). The first is a large shielded cable that connects to the
brightness and power, the other is a small thin ribbon cable that connects to the back of the LCD monitor (the data cable I guess). Here is a picture of the power/brightness cable.
